DeKalb County Animal Services Pets of the Week and Volunteer with LifeLine at a Fall Parade

DeKalb County Animal Services Pets of the Week and volunteer opportunities with LifeLine Animal Project at Atlanta Pride Parade.

Fall in the City of Atlanta is filled with many wonderful festivals, concerts and parades. In an effort to get more animals adopted, LifeLine Animal Project is bringing many adoptable dogs from our shelter to the Atlanta Pride Parade on Sunday, October 12th, and we need lots of volunteers to help! There are many ways that you can help, from walking dogs, to donating supplies to helping us construct a float. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Rod at rterrel@lifelineanimal.org.

DeKalb Animal Services Pets of the Week: Lotus and Janey

Meet Lotus, a one-year-old lab mix who is a wonderful combination of personality traits: sweet, mellow and gentle. This girl just loves going for walks with our volunteers and is happiest when she is with people. Lotus also adores children and also gets along great with other dogs. Sadly, she one of our longest-term residents, but she is ready to be a great addition to any family. And if you adopt Lotus during September, under our ‘Fall in Love’ promotion, her adoption fee is FREE! You’ll get a wonderful dog who is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and more, for FREE! Please come meet Lotus by dropping by the shelter, emailing adoption@dekalbanimalservices.com or calling (404) 294-2165.

Our next pet is Janey, a happy, nice and gentle dog whose adorable smile is sure to win you over. Janey is two years old and gets along well with other dogs. She is also a fast learner, good with kids and sure to add some sunshine to your life. Janey’s adoption fee is also FREE during the month of September, so come meet her soon by dropping by the shelter, emailing adoption@dekalbanimalservices.com or calling (404) 294-2165.
