I-285 Shooting Leaves Driver Dead, Suspect Wanted: DeKalb County Police

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County police are searching for Tuesday’s I-285 shooter that they say left a man dead, reported WAGA-TV.

A 911 call around 10 a.m. brought DeKalb County police near the southbound entrance ramp from Lawrenceville Highway to I-285.

Police believe the victim was pulled over on the access road near I-285 when someone walked up to the car and shot him, reported WAGA-TV. The driver sped away only to crash nearby.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at (404) 577-TIPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for a $2,000 reward.

According to WSB-TV, metro Atlanta road rage shootings and gun violence could have killed at least two other people Tuesday.

One man said he was driving home on Interstate 20 eastbound near Wesley Chapel Boulevard Tuesday afternoon when he heard shots. Another driver wanted him to drive faster.

“...He rolled down his window, stuck his head out and pointed this pistol at me.”
