DeKalb County Plans 16 Early Voting Sites, Makes More Changes

The DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections announces voting sites for the 2022 general election.

DECATUR, GA — DeKalb County is gearing up for the Nov. 8 general election with the announcement of 16 advance voting locations and changes to polling sites.

The DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections confirmed the locations during a Sept. 8 regular meeting, county officials said Monday.

Advance voting in DeKalb is from Oct. 17-Nov. 4 and will open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays and noon-5 p.m. Sundays.

Beulah Missionary Baptist Church and Clarkston Library will open Oct. 29, county officials said.

“We are excited to offer expanded advance voting opportunities that are accessible to voters across the county,” Keisha Smith, county board of registration executive director, said in a news release. “We are urging voters to make a plan to vote this election cycle."

Smith encouraged residents to double-check their voting sites as some may have shifted.

Absentee ballots can be requested at dekalbvotes.com or mvp.sos.ga.gov. Completed absentee ballots can be submitted via drop box only during advance voting and mailed or hand-delivered to the county elections office at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, in Decatur.

Drop boxes for absentee ballots will be inside the following locations: Briarwood Recreation Center, Dunwoody Library, DeKalb elections office, Gallery at South DeKalb, Stonecrest-Former Sam’s Club and Tucker-Reid H. Cofer Library.

The deadline to submit mailed and hand-delivered ballots is 7 p.m., Nov. 8, Election Day.
