DEKALB COUNTY — DeKalb County is searching for a new elections director, according to the county’s website. The job listing was posted Tuesday, less than two weeks after former director Erica Hamilton resigned, reported the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

During the 2020 election, Hamilton experienced criticism from local leaders. Before resigning, she had been on an “extended leave of absence” since early September. A 2020 consultant’s report obtained by the AJC cited Hamilton for being overly involved in daily tasks, saying there were “simply too many moving parts to ask her to be the sole operations taskmaster for the organization while also managing policy and executive functions.”

The salary range for the job was listed as $102,843 to $159,408.
