DeKalb, Decatur Schools Make Calls On Friday Classes

Both systems had been closed on Tuesday and Wednesday due to ice and snow from this week's winter storm.

DECATUR, GA — DeKalb County schools will be closed for the third day in a row on Friday, while city schools in Decatur will be opening two hours later than usual.

In a social media post, DeKalb Schools said that students will be off Friday, but 12-month employees should report two hours later than they usually do — if road conditions allow.

City Schools of Decatur, meanwhile, will start on a two-hour delay. Buses will be running two hours behind their usual schedule in the morning and classes will start two hours later than normal.
