DeKalb Firefighter Dies In Traffic Accident
Brannon "BC" Davis, a paramedic, served the fire departments in DeKalb and Meriwether counties.

DECATUR, GA — A paramedic with the DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department died Friday following a traffic accident in Meriwether County, the department announced Sunday. Senior Firefighter Brannon "BC" Davis succumbed to his injuries sustained in the Friday morning accident, the DeKalb fire department announced in an Instagram post.
Davis served in Fire Station 22B, and he also served full-time with the Meriwether County Fire Department, according to the Instagram post.
"He was revered by everyone as a good natured soul who never seemed to have a bad day," the DeKalb fire department said on Instagram. "As we mourn our loss of our brother, we ask you to please keep the Davis Family and friends in your thoughts and prayers."

The DeKalb fire department had not released details about the fatal accident by Monday morning, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Meriwether County is off Interstate 85 southwest of Atlanta.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. A visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home at 208 Johnson St. in Hogansville.

The funeral for the fallen firefighter will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday at Luthersville United Methodist Church, 60 East Oak St. in Luthersville, with burial in the church cemetery. For an obituary for Brannon Davis, please click here.
