DeKalb Government Restricts Public Access Due To Coronavirus
DeKalb County has restricted public access to all government buildings and county facilities.
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — All government buildings and facilities in DeKalb County are now closed to the public, according to city officials. The access has been restricted to protect county workers from the spread of the new Coronavirus, or COVID-19. There will be no face-to-face interaction.
“We are implementing a ‘socially distant service delivery’ strategy to protect our employees from the spread of the virus so that DeKalb County can continue to provide essential services to our customers,” said DeKalb CEO Michael Thurmond in a news release.
County services will still be available via email, telephone, standard mail delivery and any other electronic platforms.
