A lifeguard at a YMCA pool in DeKalb County rushed to the aid of a 5-year-old girl he spotted drowning on Wednesday afternoon.

According to CBS Atlanta, the drowning happened at the YMCA in Stone Mountain just after lunchtime. The lifeguard jumped in the pool, pulled the girl out, and began administering CPR. In seconds, the girl was awake and alert.
The girl was taken to the hospital, CBS reports. She is expected to fully recover.
