DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County police are experiencing a staffing shortage at the same time the county set a homicide record for the second year, reported the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
Mirtha Ramos, DeKalb’s police chief, shared the department’s 2022 goals in a Tuesday Q&A. Those include hiring 100 new officers, a possible pay increase for staff and addressing retention.
