Paint, Lawn Care Products Can Be Dropped Off At DeKalb’s Hazardous Waste Event

The DeKalb County hazardous waste recycling event Saturday will accept aerosols, flammables and fluorescent light bulbs.

DECATUR, GA — DeKalb County’s household hazardous waste recycling event Saturday will accept paint, batteries and more.

The event is limited to residents only. It’s from 8 a.m. to noon at 3720 Leroy Scott Drive in Decatur. Masks are required.

Household items like adhesives, lawn care products, aerosols, flammables, fluorescent light bulbs, photo chemicals, batteries and paint will be accepted. Paint is limited to 10 gallons per vehicle.

Items that will not be accepted include: agricultural waste, ammunition, pharmaceutical, biohazardous and biomedical waste, and radioactive materials.
