DeKalb Shooting Victim Dies in SUV, Causes Crash
Police say the victim likely drove a few blocks in his SUV after being fatally wounded.

DeKalb County police are investigating a fatal shooting which led to a head-on traffic collision overnight Monday.

According to WSB-TV, the victim was found slumped over inside an SUV which had just crashed head-on with a parked vehicle on Line Circle near Memorial Drive. Police said they suspected the victim had been shot two blocks before the crash site, and had gotten into the accident shortly before he died.
A citizen flagged down a police officer around midnight and informed the officer about the shooting, FOX 5 Atlanta says.

CBS Atlanta reports that the victim was between 20 and 25 years old and was driving a white SUV at the time of the crash. FOX 5 Atlanta says the victim was a black male; the victim’s identity is being withheld until his next of kin can be notified.
