DeKalb Student Didn't Mean To Kill Friend: Indictment
The teen originally told police his friend had shot himself and tried to hide the gun, according to the charges against him.

DECATUR, GA — A DeKalb County teenager didn't mean to shoot and kill his friend, according to reduced charges in an indictment against him.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that a grand jury has indicted Dean Dunkley, 18, with involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence in the death of Nicholas Glasco. Glasco, 18, was weeks away from graduating from Redan High School when he was shot on April 14.
Dunkley previously had faced murder charges in the case.

That day, DeKalb County Police were called to Old Friar Tuck Road near Stone Mountain at about 4:30 p.m. They found Glasco critically wounded by a gunshot from a 9-mm Luger handgun, the AJC reports.

According to police, Dunkley originally told them Glasco had shot himself. He later admitted to shooting his friend, then hiding the gun.
