Higher Calling Christian Academy (HCCA) is a faith-based learning community located in South DeKalb County dedicated to helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Summer Camp 2026 theme, “Choose Your Adventure: A Summer of Discovery at HCCA,” gives families the flexibility to enroll their child for the entire summer or select individual weeks based on their child’s interests. DECATUR, GA — A 41-year-old man died after being shot Friday morning at a Candler Road Dunkin' Donuts, DeKalb County Police said. The man was not identified. The shooting happened around 9 a.m. Police said the incident started inside of the shop and continued outside, where the shooting took place. A motive in the shooting is unknown. Details of a suspect are unknown. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and speaking with witnesses in connection with the case.
