Dog Hanged From Bridge Near Decatur
Police are attempting to determine who owned the dog and who was responsible for its death.

DeKalb County police are trying to find out who owned a pit bull mix who was found hanged to death off of a bridge in unincorporated Decatur on Wednesday morning.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the medium-sized dog was found without a collar or any sort of identifying information, and has been taken to the University of Georgia for a necropsy. WSB-TV reports the bridge is located in the 2500 block of Kelly Lake Road.
Police told the AJC that they suspect the dog’s killing was intentional, and are looking for the person who owned the dog or anyone else who may have been involved in the dog’s death.
