Dog Towne Franks Now Open In Decatur
The European-style hot dog stand now has a permanent location on East College Avenue in downtown Decatur.

DECATUR, GA -- Dog Towne Franks has opened a permanent location in downtown Decatur. The restaurant opened recently at 307 East College Avenue in the former Arepa Mia space. Its the latest European-style eatery to open in Decatur in recent months.
Dog Towne Franks operated as food truck the Pup Truck for years, according to the AJC. Owner Alan Makarewicz told the paper the menu centers around “a lot of eastern European food” like Bavarian pretzels, pierogies, and poutine and is “loaded with different types of hot dogs and sausages.”
Doggy Dog is about 1-10th a mile away in front of Kimball House on East Howard Avenue. It sells Bavarian and German-inspired hot dogs.
