Driver Pulled Over on I-20 in DeKalb Shoots Himself in Head
The DeKalb County police officer who pulled the driver over had not approached the vehicle before the shot was fired.

A motorist has been rushed to the hospital in extremely critical condition after DeKalb County police say he pulled out a gun and shot himself in the head after he was pulled over on Interstate 20 Thursday afternoon.

According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the driver was pulled over near 4 p.m. close to the Flat Shoals exit by a DeKalb police officer. Before the officer approached the vehicle, the driver pulled out a gun and fired a shot into his own head.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the man was pulled over by police for speeding on I-20 westbound. The AJC adds the man was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital in grave condition. 11 Alive News reports three lanes of the highway have been closed due to the incident.
