Voting Early? You Have Until 7 P.M. Tonight
Long lines are expected on Election Day, so here's how to find the nearest early polling place in DeKalb County.

DECATUR, GA — If you want to vote before Election Day, you need to get to the polls before 7 p.m. this evening. That's when early voting closes in Georgia, including at 10 locations in DeKalb County.
After this evening, the next time that voters in Georgia can go to the polls is Election Day — next Tuesday, Nov. 8. And long lines can be expected; the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Friday that just since April, the number of registered voters in DeKalb County has risen by 5 percent, from 493,147 to 518,947.
Early voting in DeKalb is running ahead of the pace in the 2012 presidential election, with more than 170,000 votes cast, including about 13,000 absentee ballots, the Journal-Constitution reported. In 2012, a total of 307,000 voters in DeKalb cast votes in the election.

Across Georgia, nearly 2 million people voted early in 2012. As Patch has reported, election workers expect to exceed that number by the end of today.
