Election 2015: Decatur Passes School Board Referendum

Decatur voters overwhelmingly approved a major school bond referendum in Tuesday’s election.

Tony Powers also won election as city commissioner at large, while Brian Smith defeated James Johnson to win the commission district post B race.

DeKalb voters also overwhelmingly approved an overhaul of the county’s ethics regulations, while Tucker voters chose to become DeKalb’s newest city.

And a bid to create what would have become DeKalb’s largest city, Lavista Hills, fell short.
