I am hosting a fundraiser for a 6 year old girl in our neighborhood, Sweet Bea, who was diagnosed with DIPG, diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, a rare, aggressive and almost always terminal form of brain cancer in December of last year. She is currently undergoing aggressive radiation but once that is over, she needs to undertake experimental medicine. The fundraiserwill take place at Blue Mark Studios (www.bluemarkstudios.com) on Saturday, March 3rd. The community has been generous - I have amazing silent auction items, including a $500 gift certificate from Brio restaurant as well as appetizers from various restaurants. There will be a very special auction of paintings by Bea herself. We have a great line up of entertainment, including vocalist Claudia Kelly and the comedy magic of Levent (www.leventmagic.com).
