Coming together on one stage, Pierce Pettis, Kate Campbell, and Tom Kimmel, capture the heart of Americana tales with country-folk tunes in their latest collaboration, The New Agrarians. As described by Pettis, they're very much like a rootsy or "red-neck version of Peter, Paul, and Mary." Catch a glimpse of their newest project at http://www.myspace.com/thenewagrarians

Southern folk poet, PIERCE PETTIS, returns with his Americana vocals and strong roots guitar. Performing Songwriter Magazine calls him, "One of the more vital and critically acclaimed folk stars of recent years." His music is distinguished by his uncanny ability to capture universals in human experience by drawing on the sadness and humor in daily life. The San Francisco Chronicle praises Pettis as, "A torrent of musical language that speaks to the head and the heart." Beautiful harmonies, inventive yet subtle percussion, strong guitar, and rich vocals are a constant throughout his body of work. Garth Brooks, Joan Baez, David Wilcox, Art Garfunkel, Tom Kimmel, Dar Williams, and Claire Lynch (among others) have all covered his songs. He has received many honors & awards for his songwriting, including a "Country Music" award from ASCAP for his song, "You Move Me," recorded by Garth Brooks. This long-time Attic favorite is a masterful songwriter and performer and a "must see" on our intimate stage.

KATE CAMPBELL is not only one of the premier country-folk, and gospel songwriters, she's also an eloquent storyteller. With over 11 CDs, she's worked with some of the biggest names in the business. Her music's been featured on NPR's "Morning Edition" and "All Things Considered," and on "Mountain Stage." Originally from Sledge, Mississippi and the daughter of a Baptist preacher, the Civil Rights movement of 1960's forged Kate's formative years. Those indelible experiences continue to inform her music. With her compassionate tone and sometimes-quirky approach, she's made a musical niche for herself telling stories, exploring the complex topics of race, religion, history and human relationships. She's now touring in support of her latest album, "Two Nights in Texas."

As an incredible performer and poet, TOM KIMMEL's business card facetiously reads, "Overnight Success," but the truth is far from it. After graduating college he worked as a short order cook, bus boy, taxi driver, chef, shipping clerk, lab technician, janitor, waiter, bartender and window washer on his way to establishing himself as an award winning songwriter (Johnny Cash, Linda Ronstadt, Shawn Colvin, Waylon Jennings, Joe Cocker, Randy Travis and a host of others) and critically acclaimed performing artist (seven albums). He is currently promoting his latest record, "Never Saw Blue."
