The Well Reds, Emily Hearn & Neulore - Live at Eddie's Attic!

The Well Reds : ðə wěl rɛdz –noun 1. from "The Mean Reds" as used by Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's to describe a state of being or becoming afraid, the cause of which is unknown.

Over the past two years The Well Reds have notched their place in the often underestimated yet very talented Atlanta rock scene. Their alternative take on pop-rock mixes clean live guitar tones with indelible vocal melodies, detailed instrumentation, and acute lyric sensibility. This cultivated maturity within the group's songwriting is coupled with a discernible professionalism in their playing. Live shows are punctuated by powerful harmonies, diverse instrumentation, and a high level of group musicianship that sees the boys as confident with an acoustic set as they are playing a plugged-in-amped-up-rock show.

Individually the members of the band accrued years of professional playing experience, opening up for an eclectic mix of national acts including Switchfoot, Blues Traveler, Angie Aparo, Moses Mayfield, Bell X1, and Ryan Bingham & The Dead Horses. Since the inception of the band in 2008, collectively they have shared bills with bands like Automatic Love Letter (Epic), A Cursive Memory (Epic), Transmit Now (Silent Majority/Warner), Lights Resolve, and The Friday Night Boys (Fueled by Ramen). The Well Reds recently finished a six song EP with Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (Cartel, Mayday Parade, The All Time Low). The music is already creating a buzz with music fans and industry executives alike. Says BMI's David Claassen, "The Well Reds combine creative pop melodies with meaningful lyrics that shine brightly with their new release..." Mixtape Atlanta writes, "Composed of seasoned musicians and a uniquely distinctive sound, The Well Reds’ tailored orchestration of emotional yet mature pop anthems will have you humming the melody and singing the lyrics just after one listen."

Emily BIO:

“Songbird” might be the best word to describe Emily Hearn. With a charmingly melodic voice, the 21 year-old singer/songwriter from Griffin, Georgia delivers relevant lyrics over irresistible melodies that captivate wandering ears. Coupled with the endearing genuineness of a small town, self-taught musician whose infectious personality seeps into everything she does, its no wonder that Ms. Hearn has already won the hearts of a growing audience in her hometown of Athens, GA and nationwide.

In April of 2010, Emily independently released her debut EP, Paper Heart. Later that year she embarked on a Southeastern tour, playing before growing crowds at iconic venues, and opening for country star Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish. In February of 2011 she released a music video for the lead single "Rooftop" featuring a special appearance by renowned actor/comedian Bill Murray, who drops in to try his hand at the drums. Emily Hearn’s first full-length (also independent) album, Red Balloon will be released to iTunes and stores on January 31, 2012. With carefully eclectic instrumentation and rich background vocals that beckon listeners to sing along, the ten-track album bears the signature Emily Hearn stamp – quirky, fun and flirtatious, with a dash of love had and lost. The new record picks up right where Paper Heart leaves off – smart, sassy and highly contagious. But it’s not all ‘daffodils’ and sing-alongs this time around-- Hearn sheds her lighthearted demeanor and trademark falsetto to expose her vulnerability in a very serious, powerful way. As an album, Red Balloon is a collection of individual moments - joys and heartbreaks – the sum of which paints a vivid picture of personal and artistic growth.

Neulore BIO:

Neulore was formed in Nashville, TN in the Autumn of 2009 by Adam Agin (lead vocals & guitar), William T. Cook (guitar & bgvs), and Dan Eggenschwiler (drums & bgvs) to tell stories of hope. After releasing a well-crafted EP, “Apples & Eve”, they have begun to take their heartfelt songs to the masses. With a live show that not only entertains, but affects, leaving the audience with a sense that anything is possible, Neulore is captivating the hearts of all who draw near. Describing their sound as “truth in modern tones” and boldly stating that “the new folk music has arrived” they are firmly rooted in the tradition of community, the pursuit of wisdom, and the telling of timeless stories from a fresh perspective.
