The Third Annual Kids Kick It For Cancer fun run and bake sale will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 12 at the First Christian Church of Decatur Community Park (toy park). All proceeds benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
This year we are dedicating our event to the memory of Patrick Chance. Patrick was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer
in 2006. He underwent surgery, ten cycles of toxic chemotherapy, twelve rounds of radiation, and one cycle of monoclonal antibody therapy in an effort to
battle the disease. He loved the ocean, spiders, baseball, golf, firefighters, Spider-Man, and GI Joe. Sadly, Patrick lost his battle with cancer on his ninth
birthday earlier this year.
We know that the efforts of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society not only make a profound impact on treatment efforts for blood cancers, but for many other
cancers as well. Please join us in raising funds to support further
research.
Special thanks to our sponsors 360 Venture Law, Watkins, Lourie, Roll and Chance, PC and Property Works as well as the Big Peach Running Company.
In addition to the fun run, there will be a bake sale and Dean Crownover will DJ the event. This year parents can join in too by registering for the Adult Wacky Walk/Run. Registration fees are $20 for each child age 2-16
