Five-Year-Old Boy Shot at DeKalb Park

DECATUR, GA — A five-year-old boy was shot at a park on Larkspur Terrace in DeKalb County on Sunday.

Police believe the shooting was accidental, according to the AJC.

A 24-year-old man is believed to be responsible for the shooting, in which a small caliber weapon was involved.

The boy was taken to a local hospital. Witnesses said the boy had been shot in the head by his mother's boyfriend.
