'The Fonz' Henry Winkler Coming to Decatur Wednesday
Winkler is promoting the children's book he co-wrote Wednesday at the Decatur Library.
DECATUR, GA -- Actor, director, producer and author Henry Winkler -- still best known decades later as Fonzie from "Happy Days" -- will be in Decatur Wednesday promoting a children's book he co-wrote.
Winkler and writing partner Lin Oliver will appear at the Decatur Library, at 215 Sycamore St., at 7 p.m. for a talk and to promote "Here's Henry: You Can't Drink a Meatball Through a Straw."
The book is the seventh in their award-winning "Here's Hank" series. The chapter books follow the same character, Hank Zipzer, as a series by Winkler and Oliver for older readers, but in the "Here's Hank" books, he's in second grade.

The Hank books are special to Winkler, who has publicly discussed struggling with dyslexia that wasn't diagnosed until he was 31 years old. Hank struggles with learning disabilities of his own in the books, which are printed with a special, heavy font designed to make it less likely for dyslexic readers to flip the words around.
Winkler and Oliver will be signing copies of their book purchased at the Wednesday event. Winkler will not be signing any memorabilia and the number of books per customer signed may be limited based on crowd size.
