DECATUR, GA — To assist pet owners in underserved communities, LifeLine Animal Project will be holding “Healthy Pets DeKalb” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Shoal Creek II Park, at 3643 Glenwood Road in Decatur. No registration is necessary for this first-come, first-served event. Participants should bring dogs on a leash and cats safely contained in a carrier.

Healthy Pets DeKalb will provide a slew of free services and items to DeKalb pet owners, including free vaccinations for their pets provided by LifeLine veterinarians, vouchers for free spay/neuters to use at LifeLine’s Spay & Neuter Clinics, free microchipping, pet registration, dog and cat food, collars and leashes, and much more!

Last year, more than 1,800 pets received free vaccines and services at LifeLine’s Healthy Pets events, which aim to keep pets out of the shelter and with the families who love them.
