Georgia Back to School Sales Tax Holiday Coming Up
Many items can be bought tax-free from Saturday, July 30, to Sunday, July 31.

Georgia is once holding a back to school sales tax holiday.
According to the Georgia Department of Revenue, certain items can be purchased tax free during the event, which runs begins on Saturday, July 30, 2016 and runs through Sunday, July 31, 2016.
Many work and school related goods are available tax free, such as:

- Clothing and footwear, no sales tax unless item is over $100.
- Computers, computer components, and prewritten computer software purchased for noncommercial home or personal use with a price $1,000 or less.
- School supplies, school art supplies, school computer supplies, and school instructional materials purchased for noncommercial use costing $20 or less.
