Simulated gunfire went off throughout the day in DeKalb County while crews were filming Road Trip, according to a report.
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Gunshots from a movie set in DeKalb County had some neighbors worried it was the real thing, reported WGCL-TV.
The shots could be heard throughout the day Tuesday and Wednesday, causing some people to call 911, the news station reported. They learned through Nextdoor that a production company was filming Road Trip at the Emory Briarcliff Campus.
“At some points, it sounded like multiple guns at the same time,” Liz Cohen told the station.

Miller Avenue Productions, LCC distributed flyers alerting neighbors of the “simulated gunfire,” Shelbia Jackson, director of the DeKalb Entertainment Commission, told WGCL.
The company received a permit in advance and the filming was approved by the county, city, entertainment commission, and fire and police departments, Jackson told the station.
