Hattie Marie's BBQ Expanding, 3 New Locations, Decatur Is One

DECATUR, GA — A new barbecue restaurant will come to Decatur this year. In fact, the popular eatery, Hattie Marie’s Texas Style BBQ & Cajun Kitchen, will open in Duluth, Stockbridge and Decatur in the first few months of 2020, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Husband and wife duo Willie and Ramona Griggie opened the first location in 2017 in College Park. It’s named after Willie’s mother who loved to cook and owned her own bakery and catering company in Texas.

“With our concept, we’ve embraced our family’s tradition while paying homage to my mother, the late Hattie Marie,” said Willie Griggie in a prepared statement. “Hattie Marie’s BBQ intends to bring the flavor and essence of southeast Texas cooking all over Atlanta with this expansion.”
