Heavy Rains Return to Metro Atlanta in Time for PM Commute

Atlanta GA -- So much for a few hours of dry weather.

Heavy rains are expected to hit metro Atlanta in time for the Monday afternoon commute, according to the AJC and Channel 2.

Another round of rain is expected to arrive early Wednesday.

A flood watch goes into effect at 1 pm on Monday for most of north Georgia and all of metro Atlanta. Between 3 to 5 inches of rain could fall by Wednesday.

Afternoon highs will be in the mid-60s Tuesday and Wednesday, in the mid-50s Thursday and in the low 50s Friday, with lows falling from the upper 50s early Tuesday and Wednesday to around 40 degrees early Friday.
