The city commission approved an alcohol license for the eatery, set to open by summer.

DECATUR, GA -- A Decatur location of Highland Bakery has gotten one step closer to reality.
The Decatur City Commission on Monday approved an alcohol license for the new location of the popular Atlanta-based eatery, which will be located at 319 West Ponce de Leon Ave.
The permit to sell beer, wine and spirits is considered an interim license while the restaurant is still under construction and will be finalized once it has its certificate of occupancy.
