How 'Bout These Dawgs? Wear Red, Adopt For $25

LifeLine Animal Project is celebrating UGA's National Championship quest with a special promotion from now until Monday.

DECATUR, GA — We can't guarantee the Georgia Bulldogs will take home a National Championship when they take on Alabama for college football's top prize on Monday. But if their appearance in the big game has you thinking of a "Dawg" of your own, the LifeLine Animal Project wants to help you win a needy pup's heart.

In honor of UGA's title-game appearance, between now and Monday, if you wear red into any one of LifeLine's four animal shelters in DeKalb County and Atlanta, you can adopt a dog of your choice for just $25. That's includes spaying or neutering, vaccinations and a microchip and is well under half of what it usually costs.

LifeLine officials say the promotion was inspired, in part, by Petunia, a bulldog who just happened to find her way into their DeKalb County shelter a few days ago "and ignited the Georgia Bulldog fever in all of us."
