Hundreds Of Tires Dumped In DeKalb Park: Report
It may take days to haul away up to 10,000 illegally dumped tires, say DeKalb officials

DECATUR, GA — DeKalb County crews are hauling away hundreds of abandoned tires discovered Friday morning at a park in Decatur, according to a media report. As many as 10,000 tires were illegally dumped on a former access road at Fork Creek Mountain Park on River Road, WSB-TV Channel 2 reported.
County officials said it could take days to get rid of all of the tires, with many trucks involved. The tires likely came from a commercial business, they said.
The dumping probably has been going on for six months, they told Channel 2. The individuals who dumped the tires could face hefty fines and even jail time.
