Hurricane Irma Aftermath: Highest Intake at LifeLine's DeKalb County Animal Services Shelter in Years
To encourage adoptions, LifeLine is offering $40 adoptions for all cats and all dogs over 25 lbs. through the end of the month

LifeLine Animal Project’s DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS) shelter is experiencing the aftermath of Irma with a higher intake than we've seen in years. With many pets left homeless by the storm, DCAS is currently housing about 430 dogs and 145 cats in the shelter. So now, more than ever, the public is needed to help save lives by adopting a pet. To encourage adoptions, all cats and all dogs over 25 lbs. may be adopted for only $40 throughout September, including the pet’s spay/neuter, microchip and vaccines.
