Higher Calling Christian Academy (HCCA) is a faith-based learning community located in South DeKalb County dedicated to helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Summer Camp 2026 theme, “Choose Your Adventure: A Summer of Discovery at HCCA,” gives families the flexibility to enroll their child for the entire summer or select individual weeks based on their child’s interests. DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A man being held in the DeKalb County Jail was found dead, according to a news release. The sheriff's office said Friday that Elnan Edinson Oganda, 47, of Doraville, was found unresponsive in his cell during a security check Thursday evening. He died from an apparent suicide, according to officials. Jail staff immediately performed emergency medical procedures, but Oganda was declared dead by DeKalb Fire Rescue personnel who responded. His death comes less than a week after he was arrested Dec. 10 for multiple charges that included aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, child molestation and sexual battery, officials said.
