Jimmy John's Coming to Old Chevron Station
The long-vacant station is on North Decatur Road. Plans are to open up the shop by Thanksgiving.

DECATUR, GA — A new Jimmy John's sandwich shop may be open by Thanksgiving on the site of a long-abandoned Chevron on North Decatur Road.
According to a post on the Emory Village website, Jimmy John’s franchisee Jimmy Pineda has been planning the new location for several years.
The canopy on the old gas station was removed recently, and next on the list of improvements are new windows; a kitchen and seating area; and outdoor landscaping.

The site will also have 13 parking spaces plus bike racks. The franchise is known for its bicycle sandwich deliveries.
Pineda and partners Chris Coulter and Grant Lawson are former bankers who now own Jimmy John’s of Atlanta, the majority Jimmy John’s franchisee in Georgia. This new location will be their 14th in the Atlanta area.
