Large Tree Falls, Damages DeKalb Home During Storm: Report

Lightening struck a tree in DeKalb County causing it to fall onto a home, according to a report.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A large rotting tree struck by lightning hit two DeKalb County homes, severely damaging one of them when it fell, reported WSB-TV.

Lightning hit the tree around 10 a.m. Tuesday along Lloyd Road, according to the news station. One owner, Marie Jordan, told WSB that she was inside when the tree fell on the other side of her home.

"It scared me so bad, I’m still scared,” Jordan said. “It took my whole living room, part of the top section out of there. There’s a hole in another of the bedrooms.”
