LifeLine Animal Project's DeKalb County Shelter Close to Reaching No-Kill Rate! And Meet our Pet of the Week: Betty Boop
LifeLine Animal Project Makes History in Atlanta, and Our DeKalb County Pet of the Week is Betty Boop!

Employees of LifeLine Animal Project, the managing organization for both DeKalb and Fulton County Animal Services, will not need lucky charms this St. Patrick’s Day.
Our wishes are already coming true, because for the first time ever in the history of Metro Atlanta, our Fulton County Animal Services shelter has achieved no-kill levels (defined as saving 90 percent or more of the animals)! This is a first for any open admission shelter (we don't turn away animals) in the metro Atlanta area!
LifeLine’s DeKalb County Animal Services shelter (DCAS) is also very close to reaching no-kill with 85 percent of our animals being saved. Our goal is to reach the no-kill level at DCAS in 2016, but we need the community’s help. Everything you do to help a homeless animal can help our mission and make Atlanta a no-kill community.

To celebrate our achievements and encourage more adoptions, LifeLine is offering $40 adoptions on all dogs over 25 pounds and $25 adoptions on all cats during our "Adopt a Lucky Charm" promotion through March 31. The adoption includes the pet’s spay or neuter, microchip and vaccines – a $250 value – at no cost.
