LifeLine's Shelter Dogs are Cuter than the Candidates! Show your "GA Voter" Sticker for Fee-Waived Adoptions on Election Day!

Also, meet a diplomatic paw shaker and adorable dancer. Both are waiting for you at LifeLine's DeKalb County shelter!

We think our shelter dogs are much cuter than the candidates! So we're offering fee-waived adoptions on Election Day for anyone who comes in wearing their "Georgia Voted" sticker. The promotion is valid at all of our locations, including: DeKalb County Animal Services, Fulton County Animal Services, LifeLine Dog House & Kitty Motel and LifeLine Cat Adoption Center. For addresses and hours, please click here.

The dogs posing as candidates are dogs from LifeLine’s DeKalb County Animal Services shelter! Hillary is played by our shelter dog Pokie, a five-month-old female terrier mix, who is very loving and playful. And Trump is played by Vivica, a two-year-old female shepherd mix, who is very sweet and loves to give kisses. Both are medium sized and are available at DeKalb County Animal Services.

Our first Pet of the Week is the perfect charmer and gentlemen. Meet Rico, a handsome boy who is three year’s old and weighs 50 lbs. This sweet guy offers his paw to anyone willing to shake hands. A true diplomat and lover of all people, Rico gets along great with other dogs and has a beautiful, super soft coat. This guy is smart too and already knows his basic commands!

Next up is Buford, an adorable one-year-old Lab mix who is always cheerful and upbeat. Buford has a special talent – he knows how to move it, and does the cutest dance at the front of his kennel that always makes shelter employees smile! Buford gets great along with his kennelmate, so he will be a good canine brother if you already have a dog.

You can still save money, because throughout November, we’re running a “Thankful” promotion, so your adoption fee will be half price and will include their neuters, microchips and vaccines for no additional cost.
