Macy's Great Tree Lighting Moved to Sunday Before Thanksgiving
This is the first time in more than six decades that the tree won't be lit on Thanksgiving night.

For the first time in 68 years, Macy’s Great Tree Lighting won’t be held on Thanksgiving night.
Instead, the tree will be lit on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, according to the AJC and Channel 2 Action News.
Macy’s says the change in date was requested by its customers.
