Man Accused Of Shooting, Killing Father Of 3 Arrested
In DeKalb County, authorities say Daniel Wise was the father of the suspect's girlfriend's children. Two were present during the shooting.

DECATUR, GA — A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged with shooting and killing the father of his girlfriend's children.
Charvez Ryals, of Lithonia, was taken into custody Tuesday by the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office fugitive unit. According to warrants, Ryals is suspected of shooting Daniel Wise, 31, on Saturday.
According to the sheriff's office, the shooting happened during a child custody exchange between Ryals' girlfriend and Wise, who police say is her children's father. It happened on Evans Mill Road, near Lithonia.

Two of Wise's three children were there at the time of the shooting, authorities said.

None of the children were injured, but another person who was there was hurt, the sheriff's office said.
Ryals surrendered to the sheriff's office and was booked into DeKalb County Jail on charges of felony murder and three counts of aggravated assault.
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser established to help pay for Wise's funeral expenses, his children were 9, 7 and 4 years old.
"Daniel was loved by everyone and this tragic event has left the children and family devastated," Sharon Wright, who started the fundraiser, wrote on its page.
