Man Fired AR-15 Into Decatur Home: Cops

The shooting happened on Sunday and the man was arrested on nine separate charges on Wednesday, police said.

DECATUR, GA — Residents of a Decatur home had to crawl on their hands and knees to avoid being shot as a neighbor fired an AR-15 repeatedly into their home this week, authorities said.

David Knight, 26, was arrested by a DeKalb County Sheriff's Office SWAT team on Wednesday on nine separate counts of felony aggravated assault. According to the sheriff's office, the shooting happened Sunday at the home on Emerald North Drive.

Knight lives on the same street, police said. They say he fired the AR-15 while inside a vehicle parked outside the victims' home. Authorities said Wednesday that no further details are known about what prompted the shooting.
