Higher Calling Christian Academy (HCCA) is a faith-based learning community located in South DeKalb County dedicated to helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Summer Camp 2026 theme, “Choose Your Adventure: A Summer of Discovery at HCCA,” gives families the flexibility to enroll their child for the entire summer or select individual weeks based on their child’s interests. Meet Giselle, an outgoing, friendly, medium-sized girl who is so much fun to be around! She has been at the shelter for almost 500(!) days, but was recently taken out for a hike by a volunteer through our Dog for the Day program. Here is what the volunteer said about her: "We took the Giselle on a long hike, and she was such a good girl! She encountered many types of animals on her walk and had no reaction to any of them. She enjoyed sniffing trees and taking a bath in the creek to cool off. This great gal would make a terrific hiking or running partner because she has wonderful endurance. Giselle would make a great family member and really deserves a chance to be someone's beloved pet."
