- Rosemary Erpf, a Decatur art professor, published her first book at age 75. Erpf has led a long, prosperous career in the art world, with notable accomplishments like directing an NYC gallery and teaching contemporary art at SCAD Atlanta. You can purchase the book here. - Rashard Johnson has been named CEO of three Emory Healthcare hospitals, including Emory Decatur. Bryce Gartland, the Emory Healthcare hospital group president, mentioned confidence in Johnson's extensive experience and looks forward to the growth he will bring. (Becker's Hospital Review)
- DeKalb Police need help finding a missing 12-year-old who ran away from home over the weekend. As of Tuesday night, the child has not been found. Lay'la Moss is 5'4", has brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a green shirt with army fatigue pants. Any information can be reported to DeKalb Police at (770) 724-7710.
