Murder Suspect In Decatur Shooting Arrested: Police

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office arrested a male suspect Wednesday wanted for the death of Dwayne Bernard Roberts.

DECATUR, GA — A suspect in the murder of a man in Decatur on Oct. 20 has been arrested, according to a news release. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit arrested 24-year-old Decatur resident, De’monte Lamar Anderson Wednesday.

Anderson was wanted on a Felony Murder charge in connection with the death of Dwayne Bernard Roberts. According to authorities Anderson is accused of shooting Roberts twice with a handgun during an incident on Flat Shoals Road in Decatur, causing his death.

DeKalb sheriff’s investigators located Anderson at a Decatur apartment complex where he was taken into custody without incident and transported to the DeKalb County Jail.
