Based in the Atlanta metropolitan area, SWH Apparel develops large-cup intimate apparel, post-surgical support garments, wellness apparel, and technical apparel solutions. The company is also the manufacturer behind AlexisS Intimates, a woman-owned lingerie brand designed specifically for curvy women seeking stylish, supportive lingerie and large-cup bras. "We recognized that many women were being underserved by traditional apparel manufacturers," said Rasheed. "Our goal is to create products that fit properly, provide support, and help women feel confident at every stage of life." Higher Calling Christian Academy (HCCA) is a faith-based learning community located in South DeKalb County dedicated to helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively in a safe and nurturing environment. Our Summer Camp 2026 theme, “Choose Your Adventure: A Summer of Discovery at HCCA,” gives families the flexibility to enroll their child for the entire summer or select individual weeks based on their child’s interests. DeKalb Medical honored mothers and infants who recently donated umbilical cord blood to the National Cord Blood Program. According to the hospital: DeKalb Medical has partnered with the NCBP for the collection of umbilical cord blood stem cells. Every year, there are an estimated 7000 patients in the U.S. alone, many of them ethnic minorities, who cannot find a matched source of stem cells.  The U.S. national inventory of cord blood units for transplantation does not reflect the ethnic diversity of our communities, and there is a national effort underway to increase cord blood donations from minority populations. With Atlanta's ethnically diverse population and well-informed, generous, delivering mothers, DeKalb Medical and the NCBP will increase the national cord blood inventory, providing stem cell grafts for patients in need and an opportunity for mothers to donate a life-giving resource.    The Wednesday event was part of a national awareness program.
