Naughty Naan, Sexy Fries Coming To North Decatur Square

DECATUR, GA -- Curry Up Now, A San Francisco-based fast casual restaurant chain, will open its first Atlanta location in the North Decatur Square redevelopment. The first shops in the new development are expected to open later this year, including Cold Stone Creamery, Jason's Deli, Big Peach Running Company, Bishop's Barber Shop, Deka Lash, Carriage Cleaners, Comcast, Oh Shi Poke and Tin Drum Asian Kitchen.

According to the company, husband and wife Akash and Rana Kapoor, along with Amir Hosseini founded Curry Up Now in 2009. Their menu fan-favorites include the Tikka Masala Burrito, Deconstructed Samosa, Sexy Fries, and Naughty Naan, along with more traditional Indian street foods offerings like Pani Puri, Marwari Kachori Chaat, and Papdi Chaat. The concept prides itself on offering all-natural, never frozen, gluten-free curries, chutneys and sauces; cage-free eggs; local, organic produce and dairy products; and protein options that are halal, naturally raised, and free of antibiotics and hormones.

Curry Up Now is partnered with Fransmart, the industry-leading franchise development company behind the explosive growth of brands like Five Guys Burgers and Fries, The Halal Guys, and Qdoba Mexican Grill, as their exclusive franchise development partner to grow the brand.

North Decatur Square will also include a four-story apartment building by Terwilliger Pappas that will house 450 people, and anchored by a 35,000-square-foot 365 by Whole Foods Market.

The retail center will incorporate a pedestrian-friendly design with wide sidewalks, a common gathering area with seating, pocket parks, an acre of open space, multi-use trails for enhanced walkability and Wi-Fi capability across the entire development. Located at Church Street and North Decatur Road, the 18-acre site for North Decatur Square was a former Nalley Nissan and Infiniti dealership. The DeKalb Medical Center, a hospital with 418 beds and 550 doctors, is located right across the street.
