New Year's Eve 2014 Events in Decatur
Dance parties, prix fixe dinner specials and corn dog drops -- yes, you read that right -- are all happening in Decatur on New Year's Eve.

- Go to Dance Hall Decatur at the DeKalb History Center dressed to represent your favorite musical style or decade from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Tickets range from $15 to $35 and include appetizers, festive party favors and two drink tickets.
- Atlanta-native Michelle Malone will perform two New Year’s Eve shows at Eddie’s Attic, the second including special guest Hannah Thomas. Tickets range from $30 for general admission to $150 for a table of four reserved seats. The first show begins at 7 p.m. and the second at 9:45 p.m.

- Mojo Pizza will host its New Year’s Bash with performances from Shampoo, Cinema Novo and Twin Studies. The party begins at 10 p.m.
- Join newly opened Twisted Soul Kitchen and Bar on East Howard Avenue for dinner and live music by Gritz & Jelly Butter. Doors open at 10 p.m., the band starts at 10:30 p.m. The event costs a $50 cover in advance -- or $60 at the door -- which includes an appetizer buffet and champagne toast at midnight. - Party at The Marlay House on New Year’s Eve with Indie-Electro DJ Kimber. Starting at 9 p.m., the event is 21+, charges no cover fee and the house serves free champagne at midnight.
- The Earl hosts Atlanta rock group Biters with supporting performances from Dinos Boys, Ravagers, MammaBear and DJ Adrian Barrera. Tickets are $10 in advance and at the door. Doors open at 9 p.m.

- Italian restaurant No. 246 offers a four-course prix fixe menu for $60 per person that includes delicacies like oyster Rockefeller, saffron scallops, short ribs and pear crostata served with bourbon ice cream for dessert. Call 678-399-8246 for a reservation.
- Woodfire Grille on Cheshire Bridge Road offers a five-course prix fixe menu for New Year’s Eve with complimentary champagne served at midnight. Guests can choose from a $115 pescetarian menu or a $100 vegetarian menu, with an option for wine pairings for an additional fee. Reserve a table online.
- Rathbun’s serves a four-course prix fixe menu for $85 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. The meal begins with amuse bouche, then an appetizer, entree and dessert of your choice. Make a reservation by calling the restaurant at 404-524-8280.
- The Bishop offers a four-course prix fixe menu along with music from a jazz trio, party favors and champagne. The restaurant accepts dinner reservations for 6 p.m. at $65 per person, and 9 p.m. at $75 per person. Call 404-692-5454 for reservations.
- The Pinewood Tippling Room’s New Year’s prix fixe menu consists of five courses and a glass of complimentary champagne for $75. Dinner service begins at 6 p.m. and kitchen closes at 11 p.m.
- Paper Plane will serve its family style steak dinner, which features a cowboy ribeye priced at $75 for two, $150 for four, along with what they’ve coined “The Big Boozer” -- a craft cocktail punch bowl served with either cheese fondue or charcuterie. Bars and Cheap(er) Eats
- Victory Sandwich Bar is hosting an 80s/90s funk and electro-dance party spun by deejays Chris Daresta -- alias Pyramid Club -- and Matt Weiner starting at 10 p.m. Enjoy Victory’s classic eats along with $5 “Champagne of Beers” cocktails.
- Brick Store Pub on East Court Square plans a midnight countdown and a champagne toast on New Year’s Eve. Enjoy their fine pub fare and a selection of 30 draught beers from 11 a.m. through the wee hours.
- Kimball House on East Howard Avenue will dish out oysters, champagne and cocktails on New Year’s Eve until 2 a.m. As far as attire goes, the website reads “Canadian Tuxedos Welcome.”
- Pallookaville in Avondale Estates hosts a kid’s Corndog Drop at 8 p.m., a performance from the 4th Ward Afro-Klezmer Orchestra at 8:30 p.m., and the official Corndog Drop at midnight. Kitchen and bar are open until 2 a.m, with hangover specials offered on New Year’s Day at 2 p.m.
