No Announcement on New School Superintendent

The Decatur City School System has called another meeting for next Friday.

After weeks of speculation about a new Decatur city schools superintendent, the school board met on Thursday morning without making any decision.

Spokesperson Courtney Burnett told Decatur Patch that the board has scheduled another meeting next Friday.

According to Decatur Metro, the system called a special session Thursday morning with an action item of “superintendent search update”.

Phyllis Edwards resigned back in March after 12 years on the job, the AJC reports, but is staying until a replacement can be found.
