🌱 Pedestrian Killed On I-285 + Zero-Waste Delivery In Greater Decatur

Here are the top three stories today in Decatur-Avondale Estates:

  1. A pedestrian was killed and a tractor-trailer caught on fire in two crashes early Monday morning on I-285 in DeKalb County. The two accidents shut down both the inner and outer loops during the morning rush hours. The deadly crash was cleared by 9:00 a.m., while the tractor-trailer accident, that resulted in a fire, was not cleared until 11:30 a.m. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. The Rounds, a zero-waste delivery service, is expanding in Greater Decatur with the opening of a new warehouse this month, servicing the 30033 zip code. The sustainable delivery service for dry goods essentials started in New York in 2019, and is now also operating in Atlanta plus four other cities. Customers who sign up for a membership get customized, weekly deliveries to their door by bicycle. (Decaturish.com)
