Pine Lake's LakeFest - Oct. 3 and 4

LakeFest is two days of art, music, food and family fun by the shores of beautiful Pine Lake. Admission and parking are free.

Now in its 15th year, Pine Lake’s LakeFest showcases handmade art and crafts by 45 local and regional artist vendors and live music by two dozen talented musicians. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct.3, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4. Admission and parking are free.

Activities include a Kids’ Carnival, poetry slam, chalk art and sand sculpture contests, face painting, hula-hooping, and the ever popular pet show. For those who enjoy a parade, this year’s special guests, “The Seed and Feed Marching Abominables,” will kick off the annual “Floatzilla” convoy of wildly decorated watercraft on the lake.

The live music schedule is wide ranging, with everything from “The Georgia Flood,” rocking into Saturday night, to a “Cosmic Gospel Hour” on Sunday morning. “Vientos del Pueblo” will add an international flavor, and Michelle Malone will close out the festival on Sunday.
